Philosophy taken in therapy:
I take an integrative, collaborative, positive approach to therapy that includes warmth, wit and mutual respect. We stay focused on finding creative solutions to your difficulty. Initial detective work uncovers the key factors accounting for its presence.
An active approach during therapy sessions, along with your
willingness to carry out between-session assignments, speeds
the process. We jointly select helpful outside activities to effectively resolve your difficulty, such as:
- Self-help reading.
- Couple exercises (if partnered) to enhance communication
and understanding.
- Starting a regular exercise routine.
- Sensual touching.
|
- Individual activities to improve
body image and self-esteem.
- Consultation with a physician.
- Relaxation and stress management.
- Journal writing
|
If active participation is difficult for you, we look for underlying
barriers and gradually dissolves them.
